Fees and Pricing
The general price for a piano lesson is $40 for a 30/minute lesson.
I ask students to sign up for a term, consisting of a given number of lessons during a season or time frame.

However, many students take longer lessons and I do ask that students to sign up by the term. I prefer to meet with you in person to discuss what options are best for you.
-Discounts
Some discounts apply for various situations including: off peak hours with more than two students per family and occasional new student offers/discounts.

My Approach is More Expansive

Performance Opportunities
- Peer Performances- These are non-formal small group settings for students to play for each other.

- Café Performances- Last year everyone played Holiday songs in a café. This year we will be doing something similar at the Pajama Bakery.

- Formal Recitals- In addition to all the other performances listed, my students are invited and encouraged to perform  in formal recitals which I promote normally about 2 times a year.

- Ensembles-  From time to time I supervise my students playing in  a jazz ensemble with a professional bass and drummer. Generally these students are bit older and have studied chords, harmony, comping  (spontaneous accompanying) and improvisation more extensively.

My Specialization
Each student has individual needs and learning style, so lessons are custom tailored to each student. From the first lesson, I use hands on simple applications and work with students to develop musicality, expression, interpretation of music, reading from lead sheets, comping (accompanying), soloing & improvisation, chord voicing construction, rhythm, piano technique, sightreading, jazz and classical music theory and composition.
